Transforming Emotions
Nicole Boon,
MACP Candidate (she/her)
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
I am dedicated to helping clients develop self-acceptance and identify their needs in order to cultivate a greater sense of well-being in their relationships and lives. Working as a teacher and department head in secondary education for ten years has fueled my passion for mental health and ignited a desire to support individuals in both clarifying their strengths and uncovering the underlying causes of their challenges.
As a MACP practicum student from Yorkville University, working under the supervision of Norette René-Gougeon, MSW, RSW, my approach is strengths-based, trauma-informed, collaborative, and client-centered. I utilize a therapeutic approach informed by Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to support clients in overcoming life’s challenges, and in effectively navigating relationships.
I work with individuals facing anxiety, depression, life transitions, workplace stress, and parenting challenges. I believe that with the right support, everyone has the capacity for growth and healing. My goal is to help clients reconnect with themselves, build emotional awareness, and cultivate a greater sense of well-being.
