Transforming Emotions

As a therapist, I enjoy working with individuals who feel stuck navigating complicated life transitions, including those struggling with anxiety and depression. I find great fulfillment in supporting people through significant life stages, such as post-secondary education, young adulthood, and parenthood. Additionally, I work extensively with individuals with eating disorders. I am particularly interested in the needs of caregivers raising a child struggling with an eating disorder which is the focus of my dissertation research.
I completed my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at McMaster University and am a third-year psychology doctoral student at Fielding Graduate University. I have previous experience working at the Homewood Health Eating Disorders and Integrated Mood and Anxiety Programs, the Cambridge Memorial Psychiatric In-Patient and Day Hospital Programs, and the Peel District School Board. At Transforming Emotions, my work is supervised by Dr. Sarah Thompson, C. Psych.
Outside of work, I live in the suburbs with my husband, two cats and new baby daughter. The stage is my second home and I love to participate in amateur theatre both onstage and off. I also love being outside exploring the world with my daughter. I firmly believe that finding balance between work, play, and family is part of keeping myself healthy and whole.
