Transforming Emotions
Angela Cole. M.A.
(she/her)
Clinical Psychological Associate
I will work collaboratively with you to uncover and transform underlying emotional patterns that drive behavioural, cognitive, emotional, and relationship problems. I value building strong therapeutic relationships with my clients grounded in compassion and empathy to create a safe working environment. I work with adults seeking assistance for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and body image concerns.
I practice within trauma-informed and evidence-based therapeutic approaches, primarily Emotion Focused Therapy, incorporating Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy to allow me to tailor treatment to your unique needs and goals.
In addition to my work at Transforming Emotions, I am in the final stages of completing my doctorate in psychology at the University of Toronto. I have completed training at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Toronto General Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital, the OISE Psychology Clinic, and the Centre for Student Development and Counselling at Toronto Metropolitan University. I have also held psychology positions at Toronto Western Hospital, the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario, and Frontenac Community Mental Health.
At Transforming Emotions, my work is supervised by Dr. Sarah Thompson, C. Psych.
