Transforming Emotions
Alina-Daniela Axin,
MA. (she/her)
Clinical Associate
I work with adults struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, challenges managing big feelings, and relationship issues. If you have recently immigrated to Canada or are working to find new meaning after traumatic and overwhelming life experiences, I would be honoured to accompany you in your journey as you grow and adjust to changes in your life.
My approach is humanistic and integrative, tailoring my approach to your unique needs and concerns. I use evidence-based methods from several psychotherapeutic approaches, including: Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT/EFFT), Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Client Centered Therapy and Solution Focused therapy.
I obtained my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at the Ovidius University in Romania. Upon immigrating to Canada, I worked in Montreal with individuals experiencing mental health crises, helping people confronted with trauma, depression and anxiety to overcome their crisis, create sustainable goals for themselves, and manage their emotions during a difficult time. In Toronto, I am excited to be a member of the team at Transforming Emotions to help individuals transform their inner experience moving from pain and dissatisfaction to greater calm, confidence, and peace.
I am currently completing working towards registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario under the supervision of Dr. Sarah Thompson.
